Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Interview Prep Assistant ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of the Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Subscription & Payments
Certain features may require a paid subscription. Payments are securely processed by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
4. License & Acceptable Use
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial interview preparation. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code.
- Use the Service to infringe upon the rights of others.
- Upload or transmit malicious code or content.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or use the Service beyond the intended API endpoints.
5. Generated Content
Questions, answers, and feedback generated by the Service are provided "as-is" for informational purposes. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any specific interview or employment decision.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service and its content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Interview Prep Assistant or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Interview Prep Assistant and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we do, we will update the "Effective Date" above and, when material, provide notice through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Interview Prep Assistant and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (i) your use or misuse of the Service; (ii) your violation of these Terms; or (iii) your violation of any rights of a third party.

15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
We strive to resolve any concerns informally and in good faith. If we cannot reach an agreement, any controversy or claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will be settled by binding arbitration conducted on an individual basis in a mutually agreed-upon location. Each party will bear its own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.
16. Choice of Law & Jurisdiction
Except to the extent pre-empted by federal law, these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent any lawsuit or court proceeding is permitted under these Terms, you and Interview Prep Assistant agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located within San Francisco County, California.
17. Force Majeure; Data Breach
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, power failures, or strikes. We will implement reasonable security measures to protect your data; however, we are not liable for any unauthorized access or breach that occurs despite such measures.
18. Survivability
The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall so survive, including but not limited to, Intellectual Property, Generated Content, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution & Arbitration, and Governing Law.
19. Interpretation
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Interview Prep Assistant with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
